COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County’s 4-H Fair closed its grandstand for 2013 with a loud bang.

It was the powder puff demolition derby Wednesday night, and Arielle Griswold drove the #1 car to victory in the nine-driver field.

Katherine Ernst was second and Whitney Rethlake third. Alyssa Clark placed fourth. Rethlake was named the hardest-hitter in the ladies’ event.

Before the women took to the dirt, there was a men’s pre-run demolition derby.
