COLUMBIA CITY â€” Whitley Countyâ€™s file management office, located in the basement of the County Government Center, is closed until further notice.
Recent flooding, along with mold growth, has caused the need for the officeâ€™s closure.
Those in need of assistance should call the Clerkâ€™s office at 248-3102.
Clean-up efforts are currently underway.
County leaders were not certain when the damage, which could cost as much as $2,500, will be cleaned up, but optimistically hoped for later this week.
Piling snow and heavy rains caused a flood in the basement of the Whitley County Government Center Feb. 21, at an expense of more than $23,000.
Wet carpet was found in a basement meeting room, but the source of water was unable to be located at the time.
