Four local graduates earn scholarships from church

Four local graduates were awarded with scholarships from Trinity Evangelical Church June 16. The scholarship is given in memory of Bernice Carver, an active member of the church, a Columbia City High School teacher and a historian. COLUMBIA CITY — Each year, for 13 years, scholarships have been given in memory of Bernice Carver by the Women’s Association of Trinity Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Carver was a long-time member of the church, a teacher at Columbia City High School and a community historian.

On June 16, scholarships were awarded to four high school graduates who are congregation members.
