Flooding leaves tenants wet

August 2, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY – Whitley County Health Department officials were called out Wednesday to investigate two apartments that had flooded at Park Terrace Apartments.

According to apartment residents, a water line had broken and while crews were working to repair the break, the apartments flooded.

Scott Wagner, the county’s environmental health specialist, was on site to assess what health hazards might be present due to the flooding.

“We did have some people concerned that it was unsafe and unsanitary,” Wagner said.
