EMERGENCY EXIT: Whitley Co. EMA director steps down
COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County Commissioners are in search of a new emergency management director, as current EMA Director Cathy Broxon-Ball announced her resignation Monday. Broxon-Ball is stepping down after 13 years in the position, and her final day will be June 6.In a letter to the commissioners, Broxon-Ball discussed the accomplishments of Whitley County’s Emergency Management Agency.“In my time here we have made great strides in our programs to prepare for, mitigate against and recover from disasters,” Broxon-Ball said. “Our preparedness activities, plan writing and training of county agencies to work together has been outstanding.”To read the rest of this story, see the April 22 issue of The Post and Mail.
