Eel River rivalry: Whitko seeks revenge over last season’s loss to Col. City

SOUTH WHITLEY — After a dramatic game last season, several Whitko players mentioned the same goal in preseason interviews this summer.
Beating Columbia City.

A goal that is only fitting after last year’s disappointing loss for the Wildcats, and exciting win for Columbia City.

This season, both teams come into the game looking to pick up their first wins, after facing losses in the opening round. The Eagles lost to Warsaw last week, 20-14, and Whitko fell to Wawasee, 20-7, an improvement from last season’s 24-0 loss to the Warriors. Last year, Columbia City beat Warsaw 34-14.
