Eagles take seventh at NHC match

FORT WAYNE — Columbia City’s girls golf team took home seventh place at the Northeast Hoosier Conference Tournament Saturday at Orchard Ridge Country Club.

The Lady Eagles shot 426. Homestead, who hosted the meet, had 369 to take first place.

Under the NHC point system, Carroll was crowned the overall conference champion for the season. The Lady Chargers were second Saturday with a score of 376.

Macenzie Lane and Courtney Bacon led the Columbia City effort, with each shooting 102. Annie Butchko of Homestead was the conference medalist at 83.
