Eagles soar to victory over Chargers, 49-0

CHURUBUSCO — Key plays on both sides of the ball keyed Churubusco’s football to one of its most-balance victories of the 2013 season.

Coming into week 6, the Eagles were ranked fourth in Class 2A in Indiana by the Associated Press. ’Busco added to that esteem by defeating West Noble 49-0 Friday.

With the win, the Eagles are now 6-0 for the year and 6-0 in the Northeast Corner Conference.

Churubusco Head Football Coach Paul Sade called the game one of the best all-around performances by his team, including offense, defense and special teams.

The shutout was nearly tarnish on the first drive of the game. West Noble attempted a field goal, but it was blocked by Teegan Brumbaugh of Churubusco.
