The Eagle has landed

November 1, 2013

BREMEN — A sports team often measures its quality by its competition.
For Churubusco’s football team, the stick measures highly despite a Friday night sectional semifinal loss to Bremen.

The ninth-ranked Eagles lost to the 14th-ranked Lions 35-28. Churubusco Head Football Coach Paul Sade said his team has a great deal to take away from the contest.

“It’s probably the best team we’ve played, one of the best programs we have played,.” he said.

“They are used to winning championships in the postseason. We knew coming in that this would tell us a lot about our team and our program. We had some opportunities and made some plays, and our kids have nothing to be ashamed of. They played four quarters, and that’s a good football team we lost to.”
