BREMEN â€” A sports team often measures its quality by its competition.
For Churubuscoâ€™s football team, the stick measures highly despite a Friday night sectional semifinal loss to Bremen.
The ninth-ranked Eagles lost to the 14th-ranked Lions 35-28. Churubusco Head Football Coach Paul Sade said his team has a great deal to take away from the contest.
â€śItâ€™s probably the best team weâ€™ve played, one of the best programs we have played,.â€ť he said.
â€śThey are used to winning championships in the postseason. We knew coming in that this would tell us a lot about our team and our program. We had some opportunities and made some plays, and our kids have nothing to be ashamed of. They played four quarters, and thatâ€™s a good football team we lost to.â€ť
