COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City’s girls golf team lost a Northeast Hoosier Conference match up to DeKalb Tuesday at Eagle Glen Golf Course.

The Lady Barons shot 186 to beat the Lady Eagles by 18 as Columbia City had 204.

Katie Skidmore of DeKalb was the meet medalist with a score of 42.

Seven strokes behind her was Macenzie Lane, who led Columbia City with a 49. Sydney Ford carded a 50, and Taylor Daniel had 52.

Allison Yoder and Cheyenne Johnson rounded out the varsity numbers for the Lady Eagles, shooting 53 and 55, respectively.

“I don’t think we played well at all,” said Columbia City Head Girls Golf Coach Jim Thompson. “The main reason is that we were back home for just our second match there this season.”
