Deanna Kay Ruble, 71, formerly of Whitley County, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011 at 3:33 p.m. after a long courageous battle with cancer, in Columbus, Ohio at a Hospice Treatment Center.
She and her husband, Dr. James Ruble resided in the Whitley County area off Derby Drive for 34 years.
She was the office manager in her husbandâ€™s practice for 46 years here in the Fort Wayne area, until they retired in 2006.
They then moved to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2007, where Doctor Ruble serves as a General Dentist at a correctional facility in Tipton, Mo.
She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dr. James Ruble; five children, Brenna (Tim) Yontz, Lorinda (Anthony) Lee, Brian (Rochelle) Ruble, Linette (Sam) Manwaring and Bryce Ruble; nine grandchildren, Brent, Bess Yontz, Jonathon, Ben, Veronica Lee, Jaron, Jenna Ruble, Anna and Zane Manwaring; sister, Sue (Joe) Brackett.
The funeral Service is 11 a.m. Friday at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington, with calling one hour prior.
Calling is also 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family of Dr. James Ruble at www.covingtonmemorial.com.
