Crash claims life of city man

ALBION — A Columbia City man was killed and a Churubusco woman was injured in a single-car crash in Noble County Saturday morning.
Logan Templeton, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred at 3:30 a.m. Saturday on County Road 500 South, east of County Road 100 East in Noble County, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department.
The passenger in the car, 38-year-old Amber R. Talbot of Churubusco, was flown to Parkview with back injuries.
According to police, the vehicle driven by Templeton was eastbound on County Road 500 South when Templeton lost control of the vehicle, which hit a telephone pole.
Talbot was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with back injuries and was reported in fair condition today.
Police said the accident remains under investigation. Also assisting were the Indiana State Police, the Noble County Coroner’s Office, the Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, Noble County Emergency Medical Service, Whitley County Emergency Medical Service and the Churubusco Police Department.
