Columbia City drops second consecutive NHC game

COLUMBIA CITY — There are many reasons that a game can get away from a team. Sometimes it’s missed opportunities that send a team down to defeat, while other times turnovers may be the culprit.
Friday night was a combination of early missed scoring opportunities, five turnovers and a last second field goal that handed the Columbia City Eagles a 17-14 Northeast Hoosier Conference loss at the hands of the visiting East Noble Knights.
“We just beat ourselves,” Eagle head coach Randy Hudgins said. “Missed opportunities were the biggest thing.”
