Col. City wins county rivalry

COLUMBIA CITY — It was the battle of the Lady Eagles at Morsches Park Wednesday night, as Columbia City’s softball team hosted Churubusco for a county-rivalry game.

Columbia City came out on top with a 6-1 win.

Allie Vodde knocked her second home run in two games for Columbia City.
The hosts picked up their first run in the second inning, and tacked on three more in the third.

Columbia City scored its final runs in the fourth frame to take a 6-0 lead.

Churubusco’s Elaine Horn found home plate for the Lady Eagles in the top of the seventh inning, but that was all ’Busco managed, falling 6-1.
