Col. City tennis wins

ALBION — Columbia City’s tennis team won its final regular-season match, topping Central Noble Monday night, 4-1.

The Lady Eagles picked up wins in all matches except No. 2 singles, where Kennedy Slavicek fell in a long match.

After dropping the first set 6-0, Slavicek came back to win the second 6-4. She fell in the deciding set by a 6-2 score.

In No. 3 singles, Adriana Brown won in straight sets.

Celine Rongos won No. 1 singles by a 6-1, 6-1 score.

In No. 1 doubles, Sydney Ford and Macie Hinen took a lopsided 6-0, 6-1 win. The No. 2 doubles team of Breanna Hicks and Alaina Beckner also scored for Columbia City.

The Lady Eagles are back in action tonight at Warsaw for sectionals against the host Lady Tigers.
