Col. City knocks down Whitko

COLUMBIA CITY — Emotion can play a big role in establishing momentum in an athletic contest. That emotion can come from many sources. For the Columbia City Eagles, an emotional week in practice and two emotional goalline defensive stands helped establish momentum that allowed them to prevail in a battle of Whitley County football rivals. The Eagles twice turned the Whitko Wildcats away without points on their way to a 34-14 home victory at Max Gandy Athletic Field.
