Col. City girls tennis drops East Noble, 4-1

KENDALLVILLE — Columbia City’s No. 1 singles stand-out Celine Rongos stayed undefeated Tuesday night, and the Lady Eagles downed Northeast Hoosier Conference foe East Noble 4-1.

Rongos topped her opponent, Chelsea Ort, by a 6-0, 6-1 score.

Adriana Brown won a close No. 3 singles match. After falling 6-2 in the first set, she came back to win 6-2 in the second.

Brown won the third set by a 6-4 score over East Noble’s Hope Deyo to take the win.

“I’m proud of Adriana for not giving up after that first set,” Columbia City Head Coach Kathleen Myers said.
