CHURUBUSCO — Tuesday night’s Churubusco track meet with Northeast Corner Conference opponent Eastside started in the rain, ended in the rain, and in between it rained.

The Churubusco boys’ and girls’ teams rained points on the visiting Blazers as the boys’ team won all but two events on their way to a 99.5-27.5 win, and the girls went one better, dropping only one event as they posted a 99-26 victory.

Danielle Pippenger had four individual wins for the Lady Eagles.
Pippenger won both hurdles races, taking the 100-meter race in 16.7 seconds and the 300-meter race in 49.98 seconds.

’Busco’s Molly Green took second in the 100-meter hurdles. Pippnger also took the win in both the high jump and the long jump.

Pippenger jumped 13 feet, 8 inches to take the long jump and cleared 4 feet, 8 inches to win the high jump.

Alyssa Anderson, who also won the 200-meter dash, took second in the high jump behind Pippenger.

Page Long gave the Lady Eagles a win in the 100-meter dash in 14.72 seconds, and placed second to Anderson in the 200-meter race.

Coming in second for the Lady Eagles in the 100-meter dash was Molly Blake, who won the pole vault, clearing seven feet.
