Churubusco softball falls to Garrett

Churubusco’s Taylor Ewing plays first base against Garrett Monday. The Lady Eagles fell 14-7.

The Churubusco Lady Eagle softball team was defeated by Garrett Monday, 14-7.

After Garrett in the top of the first inning, ’Busco held the Lady Railroaders until the third inning.

Garrett hit a home run in the top of the third, scoring two runs, but the bottom of the third proved to be rewarding for the Eagles.

Taylor Ewing had a base hit, then Elaine Horn bunted and reached base safely, allowing Ewing to advance to second base.
