Churubusco controls Lakeland in three games

LAGRANGE — The measure of a team is not always how they play when faced with a team that is better than they are, but rather how they play when competing against a team that is not playing at their level.
That was the challenge that the Churubusco Lady Eagles had Tuesday night when they traveled to Lagrange to square off against the Lakeland Lady Lakers in a Northeast Corner Conference match.
The Lady Eagles were able to maintain their focus and came away with a win in three straight games.
The Lady Eagles took game one riding eight kills by freshman Alisha Farner, but the big story was several strings of unforced Lady Laker errors.
