’Cats, Col. City win at Tippecanoe Valley

AKRON — Both Columbia City and Whitko fared well Saturday morning at the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational with first place finishes.
The Lady Eagles placed won against nine teams and the Wildcats were victorious in their third straight Valley Invite, both in lopsided wins.
The ’Cats were 32 points ahead of their closest opponent, Northfield and 247 points ahead of last place, Tippecanoe Valley.
Columbia City had 35 points, with Bremen coming in second at 83. The Lady Eagles were 207 points ahead of last place Caston.
Samantha Roush won the girls race, finishing 40 seconds ahead of the second place runner.
