’Busco softball tops Heritage

Lacey Pulley pitches against Heritage Thursday night. The Lady Eagles took an 18-7 win over the Lady Marines.

The Churubusco Lady Eagle softball team defeated Heritage Thursday night with an impressive score of 18-7.

The first inning proved to be a good start, as the Lady Eagles’ three outs were back to back ground outs, keeping the Lady Marines from scoring.
In the bottom of the first, Hannah Richards started the game out with a triple.

The next batter, Lacey Pulley, hit a double to score Richards.
A Heritage error allowed two more runs to be scored.

Then, Courtney Winget hit to center field, scoring one more run to end the first inning 4-0.
