‘Busco set to serve in new season

April 12, 2013

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s girls tennis team is gearing up for a new season on the courts under Head Coach Natalie Pugh.

The Lady Eagles lost one senior to graduation last summer. Morgan Young played number one singles for half of the 2012 season. For the other half, Young was out with an injury.

‘Busco will be rather young this season, but Pugh will still have Kayleen Mitchell on her team for 2013. Mitchell is a returning varsity player entering her senior year.

“I am looking for her to have a successful season,” said Pugh.

Also returning are Liz Brooks-Smyser and Nikki Esslinger. They will pair up for doubles matches.

Newcomers to the Lady Eagles tennis team include two freshman, Camille Cseri and Audrey Gierscher.
