’Busco grabs win over Hamilton

HAMILTON — Churubusco’s boys basketball team picked up its second win in three games Thursday night, topping Hamilton on the road, 46-37.
Hamilton jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the first quarter, but the Eagles worked their way back into the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Marines 16-10 to make the score 23-22 in favor of Hamilton at halftime.

The Eagles mounted on their comeback in the third quarter, topping Hamilton 8-4 to take the lead, 30-27, going into the fourth quarter.
Churubusco sealed the game in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Marines 16-10 to make the final score 46-37.

The Eagles were led by Garett Simmons and T.J. Campbell, who scored 13 points apiece.
by Prairie Heights and Westview, which are each 7-1 in the NECC.
