'BUSCO DEALER: Greer pleads guilty to meth charges
COLUMBIA CITY — A Churubusco man pleaded guilty to a charge of dealing in methamphetamine in Whitley County Circuit Court Monday.Andrew Greer, 28, pleaded guilty to the Class B felony charge and will be sentenced at a later date. As part of a plea arrangement, Greer had five other charges dismissed. Those counts were: Possession of methamphetamine, a Class C felony; possession of two or more precursors to methamphetamine, a Class D felony; possession of paraphernalia, a Class D felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony and possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.Greer was arrested Nov. 15, 2012 at his residence in rural Churubusco. He was seen dumping ingredients out of an upstairs bedroom onto a lower roof, which were then recovered by officers. There is a sentence range from six to 20 years. Whitley County Circuit Court Judge James Heuer said that when sentenced, Greer must serve at least the minimum of six years, with no time suspended, because he is a prior felon.For a more in-depth look at this story, see the Feb. 14 issue of The Post and Mail.
