’Busco controls West Noble

CHURUBUSCO — Churubusco’s boys basketball team beat West Noble Saturday night, 57-29.
The Eagles had four players score in double-digits, led by senior Josh LeFever.
The game was competitive in the first quarter, with the Chargers trailing 8-7.
Both Churubusco’s offense and defense stepped up in the second quarter, holding West Noble to four points while adding 16 to the Eagles’ side of the scoreboard.
Austin Goepfrich had eight of his 11 points in the second quarter, along with five LeFever points.
Senior Tyler Arrowsmith took over in the third quarter, snatching eight of his 11 points
Senior Chris Jones got hot in the fourth quarter, chipping in eight of his 13 points in the final eight minutes.
The Eagles shot 23-33 from the stripe, while West Noble only had six free throws (4-for-6).
Other Churubusco scorers include: Dylan Jones (3), Beau Barkley (2), Blake Gross (1) and Brent Simmons (1).
The Eagles are back in action Tuesday, hosting Manchester.
