BURN BAN: Col. City announces burn ban

COLUMBIA CITY — Mayor Ryan Daniel announced today the city is issuing a ban on open burning . “Due to the lack of rain and for the protection of the residents of Columbia City, the fire department and Mayor Daniel have established a fire ban within the city limits,” said the city press release. “The ban means no recreational fireworks or burning of campfires will be allowed within the city limits until further notice.”

So should Whitley county show there is a burn ban in effect on the Indiana government website? http://www.in.gov/dhs/files/burn-ban/
