Budding authors win awards

     COLUMBIA CITY — Excited students and their families filed into the Peabody Public Library auditorium Wednesday evening to hear the results of the PBS KIDS GO! writing contest and the Peabody Public Library writers contest, new this year, added for the 4th and 5th graders.

     Children’s Librarian Pam Hively welcomed the packed house and thanked the staff and teachers who helped bring the program about. Submissions were received from Northern Heights, Cornerstone Christian, Coesse, Faith Christian and Mary Raber Elementary Schools and many homeschoolers sent their work in, as well.
