BIG LAKE FIRE: Local firemen assist Noble Twp.

BIG LAKE ­— Several Whitley County fire departments assisted Noble Township with a house fire that stayed ablaze from Tuesday evening through Wednesday morning.

Firefighters were initially called to the home at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday night, but were called back at midnight when the fire rekindled, as flames and heavy smoke poured from the structure.

The home, located at 5194 S. Union Street, in Big Lake, was severely damaged and portions of the roof collapsed.
