AWARD WINNERS: Accolades abound at 4-H achievement night

COLUMBIA CITY — Thunderous applause and a standing ovation greeted Tom Zeisig as he accepted the 2013 Friend of 4-H Award. Zeisig was nominated for the honor because of his tireless volunteer efforts with Whitley County’s 4-H program. Also garnering an award was Matt Gibson. He received the 2013 Adult Leadership Award for work in developing a 4-H program that ensures growth and education in its youth participants.A host of other awards and recognition was given to adult leaders, volunteers and 4-Hers Monday night at the annual Achievement Program. The following awards were presented:
