ATHLETIC UPDATE: Latest cancellation news

COLUMBIA CITY - Winter weather has interrupted area high school athletics once again.

Columbia City's high school girls basketball game against DeKalb, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, will now start at 6 p.m. It will be the first part of a girls/boys doubleheader, with the boys game against DeKalb scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The boys game against DeKalb was originally scheduled for Saturday at DeKalb.

All of Columbia City's Saturday athletic events have been postponed.

Churubusco's girls/boys varsity basketball doubleheader Friday at Angola was postponed to a later date. The Northeast Corner Conference Wrestling Tournament, scheduled for Saturday at 9 a.m. at Fairfield, has had its start time pushed back to 11 a.m.

The Three Rivers Conference Wrestling Tournament has had a date and time change as well. The tournament will now begin at 10 a.m. at Manchester High School.

Whitko's boys basketball game at Northfield Friday was postponed, with a reschedule date to be announced later.
