Alarm sounds at Simonson

COLUMBIA CITY — A fire alarm sounded at Simonson Estates in Columbia City last night.

No one was injured, and the Columbia City Fire Department found no fire upon arrival at the scene.

Columbia City Fire Chief Tom LaRue said the crystal on one of the sprinklers at the complex was broken.

LaRue reported his department was able to control the water flow of the sprinkler.
