July 26, 2014

COLUMBIA CITY — An investigation has started involving Whitley County Auditor Jennifer McGuire and county funds she managed as part of her duties. According to Whitley County Commissioners, McGuire is on voluntary leave until further notice.

“I want to publicly apologize to my friends and family, my co-workers and to the citizens of Whitley County for my poor judgment,” McGuire responded in a written statement to The Post & Mail.

No official charges have been filed — Commissioners were adamant that specific details were still being uncovered as of Friday.
