COLUMBIA CITY â€” Columbia Cityâ€™s girls basketball team had four players honored by the Northeast Hoosier Conference this week.
The Lady Eagles were led by Emily Whiteleather, who earned 1st-Team All-NHC honors.
Whiteleather, a 6-foot-2 junior, averaged 10.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
She finished the season with 54-of-81 free throw shooting (66 percent) and led the Lady Eagles with 95 offensive rebounds.
Whiteleather ended the year with a team-high nine blocks and 50 percent field goal shooting.
The center is the lone Columbia City to make 1st-Team All-Conference, but three other players also received honors.
Macie Hinen and Hannah Schnorr made 2nd-Team All-NHC.
Hinen, a sophomore, played the most minutes for the Lady Eagles, ending the season with more than 100 more minutes than any other player on the team.
She led Columbia City in assists with 57, and averaged 8.3 points per game.
Schnorr, a senior, averaged 7.7 points per game with 78 percent shooting from the charity stripe.
Megan Deutsch made the Honorable Mention All-Conference team.
Deutsch, a senior, led the team in steals with 49.
