Fifth and sixth graders in Whitley County 4-H went on a one-day trip Friday. They were awarded this trip through an application process and based on their 4-H achievement.

The group went to Fort Wayne and had a tour of Parkview Field including the Tincaps’ dugout and visitors’ locker room. They then went to the Botanical Gardens and saw the butterfly display. Lunch was had at Coney Island. The day ended with a tour of DeBrand’s Chocolate factory which included sampling the chocolate treats.
