4-H FAIR: 90th annual slated for Whitley Co.

June 12, 2014

COLUMBIA CITY — The Whitley County 4-H Fair will be held July 11 to 17 in Columbia City, at the Whitley County 4-H Fairgrounds located at 680 W. Squawbuck Rd., off U.S. 30.

The 4-H fair showcases the talents of youth in the Whitley County community. A variety of exhibits, competitions, livestock, food and grandstand entertainment will be offered. The 4-H Fair highlights the heritage of the community, its ties to agriculture and industry.

Whether it be viewing the projects or watching the livestock shows, the 4-H Fair is the culmination of the 4-hers hard work and year-long commitment.

“The 4-H Fair also has much more for everyone to enjoy. It might be watching the mud and dirt fly and hearing the sounds of metal crunching at one of the grandstand events,” said event organizers.

“The enticing smells, and tastes at one of the food stands is sure to please. Local vendors are represented in the commercial building, while the local Agricultural Museum and antique tractor display are a must see.”

Admission to the 4-H Fair is free and there is no charge for parking.
