4-H elects four directors for three-year terms

November 22, 2013

COLUMBIA CITY — Whitley County’s 4-H Club elected four directors at Thursday night’s annual meeting at the 4-H Center.

The newly-elected directors will serve three-year terms.

Laura Kyler, Bob McKown, Mindy Muchow and Jeremiah Ballard are the four new directors that will serve the nonprofit, which hosts the annual county fair.

McKown was re-elected to his director’s position. Ballard, Kyler and Muchow will replace departing directors Cathy Heritier, Chad Nix and Julie Johnson.

Current directors who attended the meeting gave reports. Volunteers were lauded for their work, but the emphasis was on the need for more people to be involved every year.

More than one director stressed the need for people to give feedback and ideas if they have them, and not leave everything to the board.
