WARSAW — While Wednesday night’s sectional opener at Warsaw didn’t go quite the way Columbia City’s tennis team wanted, several Lady Eagle netters are still alive in tournament play.
As a team, Columbia City fell in a heart-breaking, 3-2, match against the Lady Tigers.
“They just fell short,” Lady Eagle Head Tennis Coach Kathleen Myers said.
Columbia City picked up wins in No. 1 singles and doubles, but dropped the other matches in the 3-2 score.
The bad news — Columbia City’s season is over. The good news — No. 1 singles and doubles netters are advancing to regionals.
